Pablo Picasso
Pablo Picasso is a very famous artist in the world. He was born in Spain in 1881. When
he was a little boy, he began to draw beautifully. First, his father gave him drawing
lessons. Then, at the age of 13, he went to an art college. Three years later, he stopped
going to classes and at the age of 19, Pablo moved to Paris – the art capital of the world.
He got married twice and had four children.
Jane Picasso often changed his style of painting. For example, after his best friend’s death,
the unhappy artist started to paint the pictures only in blue. It was Picasso’s Blue Period.
Then, he used a lot of pinks and oranges. That time was called Picasso’s Rose Period. Later,
he began to paint the pictures using shapes – a style later called ‘Cubism’.
In his life, he created over 50.000 works of art. He died at his home in the south of
France at the age of 91.
