Gelecek hakkında tahminde bulunurken ‘future tense’ yani ‘gelecek zaman’ yapısını kullanırız.
Cümleleri inceleyerek bu yapının nasıl kullanıldığını görelim.

I think we will have more erosions in the future.
Scientists think there will be serious droughts in the future.

• Do you think there will be more natural forces?
-Yes. There will be lots of natural disasters.
-No. To me, we will take precautions and we won’t suffer from them.
We will run out all the natural sources one day.
Rita will plant 50 trees and she will show them to her children in the future.
• Will the Earth’s climate be the same in the future?
Yes, it will.
No, it won’t.
• Will glaciers melt?
Yes, they will.
No, they won’t.
Giving Reasons and Results (Sebep ve Sonuç Verme)

Because
Bir sebep, gerekçeden bahsetmek istersek ‘because’ ‘çünkü’ yü kullanırız.
E.g. : She always uses public transportation because she is an eco-friendly person.
O her zaman toplu taşıma kullanır çünkü o çevre dostu biri.
So
Bir sonuçtan bahsetmek istersek ‘so’ ‘bu yüzden’ i kullanırız.
E.g. : Forests slow down the speed of floods so we should plant more trees.
Ormanlar sellerin hızını yavaşlatır bu yüzden daha fazla ağaç dikmeliyiz.
And
Aynı fikirleri birleştirmek ve cümleye yeni bir fikir eklemek için ‘and’ ‘ve’ kullanırız.
E.g. : The drought began in 1998 and it affects many countries including Turkey.
Kuraklık 1998’de başladı ve Türkiye dahil birçok ülkeyi etkiledi.
Otherwise
‘Otherwise’ ‘Aksi takdirde', bir emir veya öneriden sonra, o emir veya öneriye uymazsanız sonucun ne olacağını göstermek için
kullanılır.
E.g. : We should slow down global warming otherwise, there will be natural destructions.
Küresel ısınmayı durdurmalıyız aksi takdirde doğal yıkımlar olacak.
But
‘But’ ‘Ama’ zıt fikirleri birleştirmek veya daha önce söylediğinizden farklı bir şeyi ifade etmek için kullanılır.
E.g. : Trees are lungs of the world, but we cut down them.
Ağaçlar dünyanın ciğerleridir ama biz onları kesiyoruz.
